pumpkin pie smoothie

Are you a lover of all things pumpkin? Me too!  For a great morning or afternoon treat, try this delicious autumn smoothie.  It’s an easy, healthy and tasty way to enjoy pumpkin’s nourishing benefits.  Pumpkin is an incredibly rich source of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.  It is also a great source of fiber.

With its high levels of vitamin A, C and E, pumpkin is a winner at reducing inflammation and promoting beautiful skin!

Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

Prep time:  5 minutes

1/2 cup of cooked pumpkin (organic canned or fresh is best.)

3/4 cup of almond milk (I like the unsweetened variety.)

2 pitted dates

1/2 banana, frozen

1 teaspoon of cinnamon

1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice

1/2 cup of ice

1 teaspoon of vanilla

Throw it all in a blender. Blend until smooth. Enjoy!
